Moore, Jr. of West Virginia's First District. Head has been working this summer in his native Washington for the U.S. Post Office. The 6-4 junior college transfer student was the first prospect signed by new WVU basketball coach Bucky Waters. Head was a junior college All-American last year for Dodge City, Kansas. Moore is a WVU alumnus. The congressman's brother, Harry (Moo) Moore of Moundsville, is a former Mountaineer basketball star.

Congressman Arch A. Moore, Jr. was visited by Girl Scout Troop Number 34 of Weirton, W.Va. The Girl Scouts were accompanied by Mrs. Paul Doboski of Weirton, Scout Leader, her son, Paul Doboski, and Mrs. Andrew Jezierski, also of Weirton. Congressman Moore enjoyed the company of these ladies as the guests at luncheon in the United States Capitol. Moore indicated he would support the bill and urged early enactment by Congress. The Labor Secretary expressed optimism as to an early upturn in business and more jobs to ease the economic slump.
